Box Factory History

Each space has been rebuilt to reflect Bend’s long heritage of logging and milling. Almost everything that could be salvaged from the original structure has been re-used in the interior re-design. Wood beams, old siding and concrete floors have been lovingly re-purposed to keep the history alive.

Preserving Bend’s Mill Heritage, the buildings history has been highlighted through the hard work and efforts of the Deschutes Historical Society. Imagery and records help us understand the structure’s past in order to help envision its future.

Painstaking efforts have been taken to make sure the buildings architectural integrity is kept alive, while at the same time bringing the building up to 21st standards. A labor of love and respect, the Box Factory keeps Bend’s milling history alive.
