What inspired the Box Factory?
First, the building – a sprawling 90,000 sf 1916 wood box manufacturing facility with 40′ ceilings, distinguishable cupolas and natural light running through it. In 2013, it was in a state of demise after years of challenges meeting compliance and safety standards, the previous owners struggled to keep the 90,000 square-foot main building open and demolishment was eminent. Killian Pacific was inspired by the idea of creating a central community location where locally grown businesses could thrive in a place that inspired Bend’s beginnings.
Who are the vendors?
The vendors are two restaurants, two coffee shops, a brewery, a cider house, a portrait photography studio, a printing gallery, a design store, a a paddle board shop, a bike shop, a yoga studio, an outdoor gear consignment retailer, two fitness centers, a segway tours company, a conservation society, a wine shop, a long board store, and a rug shop. A complete list is available in the vendor section, but what they do, the selection of crafts and offerings, is what the Box Factory is about- a one stop shop for premium local goods and services from all independent businesses.
Who owns it?
